Aberfeldy 12 years Single Malt whisky, een whisky uit de Schotse Highlands, uit de gelijknamige distilleerderij in Perthshire. Slechts een klein deel van de ongeveer 2,5 miljoen liter die de distilleerderij verlaat wordt gebruikt voor de Aberfeldy Single malt. Het overgrote deel wordt namelijk gebruikt voor de blend van Dewar's White label. Aberfeldy 12 years Single Malt is een respectievelijk jonge single malt. Ook omdat hij 'slechts' 12 jaar op vat ten ruste heeft gelegen, maar tevens vanwege het feit dat hij pas sinds 1999 verkrijgbaar is.

1896 John and Tommy Dewar embark on the construction of the distillery, a stone’s throw from the old Pitilie distillery which was active from 1825 to 1867. Their objective is to produce a single malt for their blended whisky – White Label.
1898 Production starts in November.
1917 The distillery closes.
1919 The distillery re-opens.
1925 Distillers Company Limited (DCL) takes over.
1972 Reconstruction takes place, the floor maltings is closed and the two stills are increased to four.
1991 The first official bottling is a 15 year old in the Flora & Fauna series.
1998 Bacardi buys John Dewar & Sons from Diageo at a price of £ 1,150 million.
2000 A visitor centre opens and a 25 year old is released.
2005 A 21 year old is launched in October, replacing the 25 year old.
2009 Two 18 year old single casks are released.
2010 A 19 year old single cask, exclusive to France, is released.
2011 A 14 year old single cask is released.
2014 The whole range is revamped and an 18 year old for duty free is released.

Bowmore Legend rijpt op ex-bourbonvaten afkomstig uit Noord-Amerika. De whisky is een eerbetoon aan de allereerste Islay malt. Geuren van rokerig turf met een zacht briesje zeelucht. Smaken van pittige citroen met een vleugje honing. Complexe afdronk met onderscheidende Islay turf rook.

1837 The distillery is sold to James and William Mutter of Glasgow.
1892 After additional construction, the distillery is sold to Bowmore Distillery Company Ltd, a consortium of English businessmen.
1925 J.B. Sherrif and Company takes over.
1929 Distillers Company Limited (DCL) takes over.
1950 William Grigor & Son takes over.
1963 Stanley P. Morrison buys the distillery and forms Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd.
1989 Japanese Suntory buys a 35% stake Morrison Bowmore.
1993 the legenday Black Bowmore is launched.
1994 Suntory now controls all of Morrison Bowmore.
1996 A Bowmore 1957 (38 years) is bottled at 40,1% but is not released until 2000.
1999 Bowmore darkest with three years finish on Oloroso barrels is launched.
2000 Bowmore Dusk with two years finish in Bordeaux barrels is launched.
2001 Bowmore Dawn with two years finish on Port pipes is launched.
2002 A 37 year old Bowmore from 1964 and matured in fino casks is launched in a limited edition of 300 bottles (recommended price £ 1,500)
2003 Another two expressions complete the wood trilogy which started with 1964 Fino – 1964 Bourbon and 1964 Oloroso.
2004 Morrison Bowmore buys one of the most outstanding collections of Bowmore Single Malt from the private collector Hans Sommer. It totals more than 200 bottles and includes a number of Black Bowmore.
2005 Bowmore 1989 Bourbon (16 years) and 1971 (34 years) are launched.
2006 Bowmore 1990 Oloroso (16 years) and 1968 (37 years) are launched. A new and upgraded visitor centre is opened.
2007 An 18 year old is introduced. New packaging fort he whole range. 1991 (16 yo) Port and Black Bowmore are released.
2008 White Bowmore and 1992 Vintage with Bordeaux finish are launched.
2009 Gold Bowmore, Maltmen’s Selection, Laimrig and Bowmore Tempest are released.
2010 A 40 years old and Vintage 1981 are released.
2011 Vintage 1982 and new batches of Tempest and Laimrig are released.
2012 100 Degrees Proof, Springtide and Vintage 1983 are released for duty free.
2013 The Devil’s Casks, a 23 year old Port Cask Matured and Vintage 1984 are released.
2014 Black Rock, Gold Reef and White Sands are released for duty free.
2015 New editions of Devil’s Cask, Tempest and the 50 year old are released as well as Mizunara Cask Finish.
2016 A 9 year old, a 10 year old travel retail exclusive and Bowmore Vault Edition are released as well as the final batch of Black Bowmore.
2017 No. 1 is released together with three new expressions for travel retail. *)
